Pairing code doesn't work

Usually one of five things. Try them in order.

1. Typo

Watch for 0 vs O, 1 vs l vs I, 5 vs S, 8 vs B.

Fix: hit Cancel on the dashboard, click Link this device again, type carefully.

2. Code expired

Codes last 5 minutes.

Fix: get a new one.

3. Tavra isn't running

If Ctrl+Alt+O shows nothing, Tavra crashed or never launched.

Fix: check Task Manager for Tavra.exe. If missing, launch again. If present but hotkeys don't work, see the next section.

4. Another app owns the hotkey

Ctrl+Alt+O is common. OBS, Discord, screen recorders sometimes bind it.

Fix: rebind the other app, or change Tavra's hotkey in dashboard → Settings → Modes.

5. Already paired to a different PC

One PC per subscription. If you paired on another machine, a new code gets rejected.

Fix: on the other PC's dashboard, click Reset binding under the Device card (once per month).
